Director Brady Corbet defends use of AI in The Brutalist
In the epic drama, Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones play Hungarian-Jewish Holocaust survivors László and Erzsébet Tóth who emigrate to America in search of a better life. Fans were outraged over the weekend after editor Dávid Jancsó revealed to Red Shark News that they used the Respeecher software to finesse Brody and Jones's Hungarian dialogue. Defending the decision, filmmaker Corbet said in a statement, "Adrien and Felicity's performances are completely their own. They worked for months with dialect coach Tanera Marshall to perfect their accents.”
