Diplo Discusses Receiving Oral Sex from Men: ‘Getting a Blowjob’s Not That Gay’
DJ and music producer Diplo has opened up about his sexual experiences with men, revealing to model and actress Emily Ratajkowski that he’s ‘100%' sure that he’s ‘gotten a blowjob from a guy before’, but that it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s gay.
Appearing on Ratajkowski’s podcast, High Low, the DJ spoke candidly about his sexual encounters with men, saying that ‘getting a blowjob’s not that gay’ and that ‘I don’t know if it’s gay unless you, like, make eye contact while there’s the blowjob happening’.

The conversation came up after Diplo said how his TikTok ‘for you’ page often features videos of ‘kinda sexy’ men chopping wood.
‘I mean they’re hot guys,’ he told the 32-year-old actress, ‘but I don’t know if that’s going to be the thing that’s going to set me over into the gay side totally.’
Ratajkowski, who has previously expressed views that sexuality ‘is on a sliding scale’, described his remarks as ‘such a straight guy thing to say’.
‘I don’t want to define that I’m gay, but I think the best answer I have is I'm not, not gay,’ he said. ‘There are a couple of guys [...] I could date, life partner wise.’
In the interview, Diplio also said that he’s not ‘aroused by men that much’ and is ‘more of a vibe guy' over gender.
This isn’t the first time Diplo has spoken publicly about his sexuality. In 2014, he responded ‘everyone’s a lil gay’ to a question about his sexuality in a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything).
In 2016, he similarly tweeted that he was ‘half gay’ and tweeted that ‘masculinity is a prison'.
