Dior is cooking up something special for diners in Japan.
The French fashion house just announced it is planning to open a new restaurant in the culinary mecca of Osaka in 2025. Monsieur Dior will be headed up by acclaimed chef Anne-Sophie Pic of Pic fame. The 54-year-old is the most decorated female chef in the Michelin ranks, holding a total of 10 Michelin stars across her nine restaurants.

Pic and Dior have entered a long-term partnership that is already proving to be quite fruitful. The duo opened a cafe off the coast of Osaka at the end of last year, in fact. Set within Kansai International Airport, Café Dior slings pastries and cakes inspired by Christian Dior’s archives. The tasty treats showcase several of the house’s signature codes, including the iconic cannage and Toile de Jouy motifs, as well as the famous houndstooth pattern and compass rose emblem. In addition, it serves cakes and chocolate bars decorated with sketches of haute couture silhouettes.
“Christian Dior is unquestionably the couturier of the feminine ideal,” Pic said in a statement. “He sublimates women through the curved lines of his unique creations. As a female chef, this sensibility moves me and I am proud to celebrate French elegance and savoir-faire through this alliance.”
The new venue will once again combine Pic’s haute cuisine with chic Dior styling, though it will offer more substantial fare than the aforementioned cafe. Details regarding the menu remain under wraps, but the Monsieur Dior at the house’s historic Paris flagship serves everything from pasta and salad to turbot and steak frites. Helmed by French chef Jean Imbert, the Parisian outpost is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day except Sunday, when it closes at 5 p.m. The new Japan location should have similar opening times.
Dior says this latest endeavor marks a further step in the label’s strategic expansion into different realms of luxury. Indeed, Dior will soon have a Monsieur Dior restaurant in Japan and France, as well as multiple Café Diors in the United States, Europe, and Asia. It added that the partnership with Pic will evolve over the seasons, years, and projects to come. Exciting (and tasty) times.
