Diane Keaton’s New Home Decor Line Includes Nods to Her Own ‘Witty Style’ and Her Golden Retriever (Exclusive)
"The collection is timeless,” Keaton tells PEOPLE exclusively of her collaboration with Hudson Grace
Diane Keaton is known for her iconic personal style and her long-standing love of home design. So naturally, she's channelling both into a new decor collection!
The Book Club actress, 78, teamed up with Hudson Grace for the brand’s first-ever collaboration. Featuring decor, kitchenware and pet accessories, the line is a perfect fit for Keaton, who’s had an eye for interior design for years — publishing a book on the subject, and sharing several of her own residences.
“The collection is timeless,” Keaton tells PEOPLE. “The pieces aren’t one specific kind of design and are created for those who love family, friends and, most importantly, furry friends!”
And there’s one pup in particular, who Keaton kept in mind during the creative process: her Golden Retriever, Reggie. When asked her favorite part of the homeware line, she admits, “I must say all the dog stuff…because of Reggie.”
“Dog beds, biscuits, the dog bowls and even the door stopper. She comes first,” she says. “But between us, I love everything else. I love the casual California Chic linen bedding. It isn’t fussy and Reggie can jump on the bed too!”
The Family Stone star’s other highlights include the “woodsy and earthy” candle she created with the brand. “It is perfection,” she says.
Perhaps one of the most iconic components of the line is the custom hue of red that Hudson Grace created for certain bolder items — a departure from Keaton's usual all-neutral palette.
“I love the fact that there is a pop of color: Keaton Red! I guess I’m known for my love of black and white and this may surprise you,” she quips to PEOPLE. “Did you see the Fire bucket? Pure genius if you ask me.”
The playful yet subtle touches to Keaton’s style come courtesy of Hudson Grace’s co-founder, Monelle Totah.
“Fortunately I got lucky with Monelle. She gets design and most importantly she gets the aesthetic I love,” Keaton says. “Trust me when I say I would have any of these pieces in my home."
Totah tells PEOPLE that she and the Academy Award-winning actress became "fast friends” when the star came into her Brentwood store to purchase bowls and dish soap years ago.
“It was then we realized she has the same appreciation for inspirational space, and timeless designs. For our first ever product collaboration, we wanted to partner with someone who shares the same eclectic, witty style as Hudson Grace,” Totah tells PEOPLE. “There’s no one better to define our iconic aesthetic than Diane Keaton!”
Some of her favorite pieces from the collab overlap with Keaton’s.
“Our HOUSE candle – it is not only gorgeous but has an amazing signature scent made just for Diane, with notes of cardamom, blue sage, olive tree bark and vetiver,” she says. “I’m also excited to be expanding our bedding category with a washed linen collection with woven gingham check bedding sets that can be mixed and matched.”
Above all, Totah says the powerhouse team wanted the collection to be fun and accessible at the same time, mimicking the “playful irreverence” of The Father of the Bride star's own home.

“The distinctive black and white colors in Diane’s home are a staple of this collection, adding a modern touch to pieces you can use in the home for years to come,” she says. “We wanted a fun pop of color throughout the collection, so we created the ‘Keaton Red’ hue based on the red sprinkled throughout the neutral color palette in Diane’s home.”
Totah, who reveals Hudson Grace has been working with Keaton on this project for over a year, says the collection embodies Keaton’s “flair for modern classics.”
“The collection is for anyone and everyone who loves their home and loves to entertain with simplicity — but are not afraid to set their table or make their bed with a bit of humor,” she says.
