Denise Van Outen's surprise 50th bash with celebration tiara, topless hunks and sparklers galore
Denise Van Outen celebrated her 50th birthday - early - with a huge party on Sunday, 5 May, with boxer and bowtie-clad dancers, a giant cake and massive sparklers.
The next day, Denise, who actually turns 50 on 27 May, shared a video to her Instagram Stories of the raucous-looking event as she danced the night away in a black minidress and a bright green blazer. She even donned a tiara as she beamed whilst being the centre of attention for the night.
The TV and theatre star, who has presented The Big Breakfast and played Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago both in the West End and on Broadway, chose to ring in her milestone birthday at Bunga Bunga in Covent Garden, London.
Over the top of the video she shared, Denise wrote: "So this happened last night," whilst tagging the venue. She then revealed that the party had been organised for her as a surprise, adding: "My surprise birthday party. Such a brilliant night."
Some of her celebrity pals joined her for the evening, including Girls Aloud star, Kimberley Walsh, The Only Way is Essex alum Lydia Bright, and American TV personality, Michelle Visage.
Denise looked sensational in her black and green outfit as she posed for photos at her big birthday bash. Her satin black minidress clung to her curves, whilst her neon blazer added a splash of colour. Adding further pops to her outfit, she donned a pair of red ankle boots.
Her makeup was radiant as she sported a bronzed face with lashings of mascara, whilst she donned a tiara that read: "Birthday Queen".
She made sure to pose for snaps with her celebrity pals as they all enjoyed the celebrations.
Denise looks like she's feeling better than ever, following her split from recent boyfriend Jimmy Barba after a year and a half of dating.
Following the split, it was reported that Denise had been “struggling to trust again” after her ex Eddie had been unfaithful. And since then, Denise’s friends were said to have been encouraging her to remain single for a while and not rush into any new romances, having gone through two break-ups in less than two years.
It seems that, in the months since, Denise has opted to take her friend’s advice, with a source telling OK! that she is happily single as she approaches 50 - and truly enjoying life, as she prepares to celebrate her big birthday, on May 27.
"Denise is really busy at the moment, she’s living her best life, enjoying work" the source claims. "Also, every relationship she has - with her family and friends - is healthy and happy. She’s in a great place and she’s got her big birthday coming up and loads of reasons to celebrate it."
