Demi Moore was tipped to win the Best Actress award at this year's Oscars, but sadly missed out on the gong. Following the ceremony, she dealt with the loss by ordering a relatable comfort dish – and, honestly, we would've eaten the exact same thing.

Relaxing in her hotel room after the 97th Academy Awards had wrapped, Demi curled up on a dressing gown in front of a platter featuring two huge dishes of chips or - as the American's would call them in LA - French fries.

In a video shared to her Instagram account summing up the whole evening, Demi can be seen getting ready with her team to head to the red carpet, looking sensational in a glittering gown. Returning from the event, her team give her supportive hugs before she cosies up with her chosen comfort dish - so relatable. Keeping watching the video below to see the iconic moment:

Demi didn't have too long to relax, however, as she was off to the Vanity Fair after party and had an outfit change for the occasion. Having worn a sparkling silver dress for the main awards, Demi changed into a glittering gold gown for the party, looking every inch the Hollywood star.

At the after party, Demi was joined by her three daughters, with her eldest Rumer Willis taking to social media to praise her mum. She described Demi as "a force" and said she was her "hero".

“Watching you today, standing in your power, in your brilliance, in the culmination of decades of hard work, resilience, and undeniable talent—I have never been more proud,” she wrote in a moving tribute on her Instagram account.

Demi was nominated for an Oscar for her role in The Substance, but the prize on the night went to Mickey Madison, who starred in the runaway success of the night, Anora.

The movie swept the board with six nominations, winning five of the categories. Its staggering success at this year's Academy Awards really turned the tables as it was an independent film made for a comparatively tiny (in Hollywood terms!) budget of $6 million. Budgets for a Marvel film, for instance, climb into the hundreds of millions of dollars.
