Death in Paradise star confirms future on show after double exit
BBC's Death in Paradise starlet, Elizabeth Bourgine, has just revealed that she's reprising the role of Catherine Bordey for the upcoming series. She used Instagram to confirm the happy news by revealing a snippet of her script.
"The shooting of #deathinparadise series 14 begins for me! @deathinparadiseofficial #guadeloupe #deshaies #shooting #tournage #womenover50 #actressesover50," she wrote.
Her followers were beyond excited seeing this reveal and rushed to gush their happiness. One fan wrote: "We love watching Death in Paradise, watched the episode yesterday where Neville almost resigned. You are well fabulous actors."
Others commented: "Good news," and "The season ended too soon." Another fan shared: "I cannot wait to see series 14 and your posts from behind scenes," reports the Express.
"Love watching the series. You are fabulous and grounding for the whole show," another fan complimented.
Unfortunately, not all cast members are returning to the show with Josephine Jobert - who stole hearts as DS Florence Cassell - confirming during an Instagram Q&A that she won't be back in Saint Marie. A fan popped the million-dollar question: "Will we see you in Death in Paradise once again in the future?"
Josephine Jobert has made it crystal clear: "No, Death in Paradise is now over for me. I've already left and rejoined the series several times and I've more than served my time. I'm very grateful for everything it's given me, both personally and professionally, but I have to move on."
She continued with a heartfelt note: "But I am very touched to be asked this question. It's all love!"
The French actress, known for her role as Florence Cassell in the hit series, is embarking on a new journey in the AI surveillance thriller Concordia, after waving goodbye to the tropical shores of Saint Marie. In Concordia, she'll take on the character Mathilde in what promises to be an enthralling six-part drama.
Set in a town marking its 20th anniversary amidst plans to expand into Germany, the plot thickens when analyst Oliver Miller is found dead, throwing the celebrations into chaos and intrigue.
Addressing a fan's sadness about her departure, Josephine shared some wisdom: "That's one of the rules in business. Things can be pretty quiet for months, and then all of a sudden, everything happens at once. To be continued.."
Taking to Instagram, Josephine gave her followers a glimpse into her latest venture, revealing the challenges of starting anew: "Little update. Day of filming #4. great team. Beautiful people (actors and crew). It's never easy when you start a new project especially when you're far from home and the people you love."
