Death in Paradise Christmas special confirms guest stars
DI Neville Parker will be in excellent company this festive season, as Death in Paradise has announced its special guests for the upcoming Christmas special.
Ralf Little and the rest of the regular cast will be joined by EastEnders' Patsy Kensit, Heartstopper's Leila Khan and Shadow and Bone's Freddy Carter.
Meanwhile, Two Doors Down's Doon Mackichan, House of Gucci's Youssef Kerkour, The Curse's Geoff Bell, Ridley's Bronagh Waugh and The Last Kingdom's Amelia Clarkson are also headed to Saint Marie for a sunny Christmas.
But it wouldn't be Death in Paradise if such a dreamy location didn't turn into a crime scene.
The Christmas special will see the untimely demise of entrepreneur and family man Gerry Stableforth (Bell).
His wife Bella (Kensit), children Benjamin (Carter) and Mariana (Clarkson), and niece Riley (Khan) are left in shock while Parker and his squad investigate the circumstances of Stableforth's death.
Things take a turn as the family's visiting digital marketing guru, Debbie Clumson (Waugh), seemingly vanishes into thin air. Once news of Debbie's disappearance reaches home, her partner Dave (Kerkour) is determined to find out what happened to her.
On a different note, Neville's mum Melanie (Mackichan) arrives on the island to spend the holidays in the sun and imparting some words of wisdom upon her son, famously unlucky in love.
Melanie instantly befriends Catherine Bordey (Élizabeth Bourgine), with the duo taking the Saint Marie dating scene by storm.
The special also features series regulars Don Warrington as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, Shantol Jackson as DS Naomi Thomas, Tahj Miles as Officer Marlon Pryce and Ginny Holder as Trainee Officer Darlene Curtis.
An air date for the upcoming Death in Paradise Christmas special is TBC. Season 24 is set to air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer next year.
