Love Island winner Davide Sanclimenti has revealed why he turned down an offer to appear on the next series of ITV's Dancing On Ice.

In an interview with The Sun, Davide claimed he had been offered a spot to compete on ITV's Dancing On Ice, however he turned it down as he felt he wouldn't have the time to commit to the show properly.

Davide said: "They wanted me to do Dancing On Ice this year but I refused this time around.

“I have so much going on and I can’t commit to something every day and when I do something I want to do it properly.

“Right now I just can’t focus on something like that, for the moment anyway, but in the future maybe I will."

Davide said if there was a TV show that was of interest to him then he would pursue it, saying: "If it’s something that interests me I’ll do more TV, but if it’s something that I don’t like then I won’t.”

Even though we sadly won't see Davide with his skates on anytime soon, he will still be returning to TV in a new show alongside girlfriend and fellow Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.

After the pair won Love Island earlier this summer they appeared on on Channel 4's Big Breakfast with AJ Odudu and Mo Gilligan, where they announced they would be heading up their own travel show on ITV2.

Davide said: "Yes I can tell you this. We are going on a road trip to Italy and Turkey, for one week in Italy and one week in Turkey."

"We are going to be on ITV2 and it’s going to be like our own programme."

Ekin-Su added they would be cooking for each other and involving their families in the show.

So far no air date has been confirmed for the series, but we're crossing our fingers it's soon!
