David Beckham has spent lockdown at his country pad in the Cotswolds and, according to the various family members’ Instagrams, has been keeping busy by enjoying walks in the countryside.
And the ex-footballer joked that he was on yet 'another walk' wearing 'another hat', as he posed for a snap while exploring the local surroundings on Saturday afternoon.
The 45-year-old looked typically dapper in an olive green jumper, which he teamed with a trusty flat cap and a pair of stylish corduroy trousers.
However, the eagle-eyed among you will notice that the rural-inspired outfit isn’t typical of his usual style.
Just like his fashion designer wife, Victoria Beckham, the A-lister has gone through a range of different styles throughout his career.
Revisiting all of the athlete’s best looks is no short task, but we’ve picked out just a few of the ones that chart his style evolution of the years.
So, in no particular order, here’s a trip down memory lane, David Beckham style:
First, there was the 90’s boyband look (which makes sense it was, in fact, the 90s). Note the curtains and the black trench.
Here he is at the amfAR Gala in Cannes back in 2017 giving us all the 007 vibes and proving that we should all have a super-luxe velvet tuxedo hanging in our wardrobes:
Or when he took a leaf out of Victoria’s book and attended the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter catwalk show in 2018 showcasing bigger, baggier looks than even lady Beckham:
And it was the royal wedding of all royal weddings and when DB and VB turned out to see Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle in 2018.
And who could forget the numerous times he stepped out in perfect synchronicity with his wife.
From matching leather at a party at the Versace store New Bond Street in 1999 just before the pair got married:
To their co-ordinating white outfits at the Silver Clef Awards at the Intercontinental Hotel in London:
Through all the years and all the looks, what remains constant is that Becks isn’t afraid to experiment, change it up and put his best fashion-foot forward.
We can’t wait to see what comes next.
