Daughter Admits She Used to Throw Plates Away Rather Than Clean Them Up — See How Her Parents Reacted

The young woman, named Sam, shared a video on TikTok on Tuesday, Dec. 10, in which she and her parents took part in the viral “We Listen and We Don’t Judge” trend, which sees a group gather to reveal secrets to one another in a judgment-free zone.
Appearing alongside her mom and dad in the two-minute video, the family first repeated the "we listen and we don't judge" mantra before Sam began an admission about her dish use.
“Okay, this was mostly in, like, high school, but when I would clean my room and I had dishes in there, I would just throw them away," Sam said, causing her mother to audibly gasp at the admission.
The family then went on to reveal more secrets, including, "I thought Wicked was stupid" from Sam's father, while her mother admitted to her husband, “Sometimes when I buy chips at the store, I don’t bring ‘em in the house because I don’t want to share them with you."

Later in the video, Sam dropped a big bombshell as she admitted she once faked a health crisis.
“Okay, in like second grade, when I had that drooling thing and went to the hospital for that, … I was faking it," she said.
As both Sam’s parents looked shocked, they then burst into laughter. “We paid a lot of money for that!” her mom said, to which Sam replied, “I was in too deep.”

In the comments section, others reacted to the video, with one stating, “This is the best we listen and we don’t judge I’ve seen 😂."
“‘I was in too deep’ is honestly so real,” another commented, while others wanted more information about the drooling situation.
“Wait story time about the drooling pls 🤣,” one person wrote.
The TikTok trend — which initially started as an exercise for couples — has even reached celebrities.
Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, who have been married for over 35 years, recently posted their own version, with the pair delving into several good-natured relationship secrets.
"Sometimes, if you’re not home, I’ll walk around and I’ll just yell at you for leaving a lot of doors and drawers open just so I don’t yell at you when you get home,” Bacon, 66, revealed, prompting both stars to crack up.
“I’m still surviving that truth, Sedgwick, 59, then joked, before sharing, “Okay, sometimes when you’re wondering what happened to those teeny tiny white crewneck t-shirts … I may recycle them.”
“You throw out my crewnecks?” the Footloose star replied in shock.
