Dani Dyer's wedding dream includes 'a summer proposal and twin daughter bridesmaids'
Dani Dyer hinted recently that she's set for a professional comeback this year after admitting "motherhood has completely eaten me up" since she jumped from a mum of one to a mum of three last year. Now, according to a source, the 27-year-old former Love Islander, who is the daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, is also hoping to tick off a major personal item from her list - getting engaged.
Speaking exclusively to OK! , the source claimed the telly and podcast star "would love to get married", and is hoping her West Ham boyfriend Jarrod Bowen, 27, makes it official before the summer kicks off.
"Dani doesn’t want to put any pressure on Jarrod but she’s made no secret of the fact that she would love to get married and ideally he would propose before the Euros this summer and after this season is over," they said. "If he gets picked, she will obviously be going out to Germany to support him with the twins and Santi but would like him to make things official before that happens."
Dani met her athlete boyfriend when she was a single mum to Santiago, he son with her ex Sammy Kimmence, who served jail time for scamming pensioners out of more than £30,000 while posing as a financial advisor. Now three, Santi is a big brother to Dani and Jarrod's identical twin girls, Summer and Star, who arrived in May 2023.
Discussing what it was like falling in love while adjusting to becoming a single mum, Dani said: "Santi was about eight months. I honestly think if you meet the right person they will make it the most easiest experience for you."
The star has also been incredibly open about the realities of dating a busy Premier League footballer while trying to look after their young children. Discussing how she copes, she recently admitted: "I think you just learn how to manage.. the kids always keep me busy, but yeah it is hard and I become a bit clingy when he's home."
The couple celebrated their two-year anniversary in November last year, and despite Dani's admissions about the difficult life of a WAG, our source said their relationship was stronger than ever. A summer proposal would be "perfect timing" for the happy pair, they told us, because Dani could then organise their wedding plans around Jarrod's football schedule.
"They could be engaged for a year before getting married next summer when there are no international tournaments so they could have a proper wedding and honeymoon," they said. "Plus the girls would be two by next summer and be very cute bridesmaids."
Dani isn't the only one of the Dyer family keen to make it official, with Dani's actor dad previously gushing about his potential future son-in-law. Speaking about his daughter's dating history, the onscreen hardman admitted she'd "brought home f****** t****" before introducing him to Jarrod, who he called a "real amazing man".
Our source Danny stands by his views, saying: "Danny has already given his permission so it’s just a matter of Jarrod getting down on one knee."
OK! has approached Dani's representatives for comment.
