The last time Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan posed together for cameras, we had never heard of Covid-19, the 'Beast From The East' covered the Colosseum in snow and Fifty Shades Free had just hit cinemas.

Simpler times, right?

Now, three and a half years on from the Fifty Shades Of Grey trilogy's final film premiere in February 2018, Johnson and Dornan - who famously portrayed Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, respectively, in the franchise - have reunited publicly again.

The two actors were seen attending the Telluride film festival, separately, in Colorado, but bumped into each other on Monday, September 6.

Posing for photographs together, Johnson was spotted wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans and a cream box blouse while the Northern Irish actor kept it simple in a T-shirt and chinos.

Johnson is in the city days after making waves in a dazzling Gucci dress at the Venice Film Festival, to promote her latest film, The Lost Daughter, directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal and also starring Olivia Colman, Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley.

Dornan, on the other hand, is supporting his film Belfast which was directed by Kenneth Branagh and also stars Dame Judi Dench and Catriona Balfe.

The two actors were co-stars on the three films in the erotica franchise, based on the bestselling books by author E.L. James, which explored the controversial relationship between former student Steele and businessman Grey.

Though the films divided critics and fans, they were commercially successful and grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, according to Forbes.

While there were longstanding rumours that Johnson and Dornan didn't get on behind-the-scenes, these were disputed regularly by the actors themselves and their colleagues.

In 2017, Dornan told Marie Claire: 'We’ve gone through this mad journey together. Dakota knows what I’m going through and only I know what she’s going through. We get on very well, we make each other laugh and we’re comfortable with each other, which is very important because Jesus, if I didn’t get on with her… I’ve heard horror stories of that happening. Actors who have to do intimate things with another actor and they just don’t get on… It’s not good.’
