Daisy May Cooper seen with newborn son for first time – looking incredible in minidress to register his birth
Actress Daisy May Cooper has been pictured stepping out with her newborn baby for the first time since giving birth earlier this month.
The This Country star, 37, looked glowing in a black minidress and sandals as she was spotted heading to Cirencester Library, Gloucestershire, with boyfriend Anthony Huggins to register the birth of their son, Benji. The pair were seen walking together in the sunshine as they pushed the pram down the street.
It marks her first public outing since her baby boy's unexpected early arrival on Thursday, 6 June. Announcing the birth of her third child, Daisy shared a video from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on Instagram.
She wrote alongside the video: "You came a bit earlier than we expected and gave me the worst post op constipation that i nearly had to phone the samaratins but my god you are perfect.
"I cannot thank @deliverysuitegrh enough. The way you looked after us through such a scary time was above and beyond. you are all bloody superstars. I am so blessed. Welcome to the world little Benji, ya nutter Born 06/06/24".
Benji is Daisy’s first child with boyfriend Anthony. She's also mum to daughter Pip, five, and son Jack, three, with ex-husband Will Weston.
Back in March, it was reported that Daisy was pregnant and she was seen cradling her blossoming bump while on a walk with her beau that same month.
“Daisy is pregnant and is really excited to become a mum for the third time with her new partner. The pair have been going strong, so the addition of a baby will only bring them closer together,” a source told The Sun at the time.
They added: “Daisy is very happy and becoming a mum again what she is focusing on right now. She was living in Cotswolds and ready to start this new chapter.”
The actress is said to have met Anthony on the dating app Hinge and the pair were pictured looking loved up at the BAFTAs last year.
The comedian has opened up about finding love with the Bristol-based DJ. “Love is being able to live together on a day-to-day basis, enjoying each other’s company, being completely yourself and having that accepted,” she told The Sun.
“He doesn’t want to compete with me. He earns £1,500 a month and he’s the sweetest, kindest, most chilled-out man.”
