Cressida Bonas secretly married her longtime beau Harry Wentworth-Stanley over the weekend. Although the couple are yet to publicly speak out about the nuptials, the bride's brother shared a sweet image of the newlyweds on his Instagram account, confirming that they are now husband and wife.

"Mr and Mrs. My small riding off into her beautiful future with her Harry hat," Bonas' brother, Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe wrote on Instagram Stories alongside a image of the couple.

Bonas and Wentworth-Stanley officially announced their engagement last summer with the groom posting a selfie of the couple, where Bonas' beautiful engagement ring could clearly be seen. He added the simple caption: "We are getting married."

It is believed that the couple were forced to postpone their original wedding plans earlier this year due to the pandemic. However, the actress had already revealed in an interview with ES Magazine last year that she was not planning a big wedding.

"I won't have a huge wedding, that's not really us," she explained. "We aren't traditional people, even though Harry proposed in a traditional way – I've never thought about how someone would propose to me. And I don't want a meringue dress. People look beautiful in them but I don't think I would."

Bonas previously dated Prince Harry for around three years after meeting in 2012. Although the couple split, there was clearly no animosity between them with Bonas attending the royal wedding of Harry and Meghan in 2018.

Bonas' secret, small and private wedding follows that of her close friend Princess Beatrice, who surprised everyone earlier this month after marrying Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in secret in Windsor on Friday 17 July. The couple were due to tie the knot at the Chapel Royal of St James’s Palace at the end of May, but cancelled the ceremony in March due to the pandemic. The intimate wedding took place at the All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park with strict social-distancing measures in place and just 20 guests present, including the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
