COVID-19 Linked to Increased Risk of Kidney Disease

While COVID-19 is known for its impact on the respiratory system new research suggests the virus may also increase the risk of acute kidney disorders. A study published in Health Data Science analyzed data from over 10,000 COVID-19 patients and found a significant link between infection and kidney problems, especially during the second week of illness.
