Couple's 'weird' £2000 wedding request
A couple posted an advert looking for someone to perform this ‘weird’ wedding duty on their big day.
The loved-up pair uploaded the request anonymously to bark.com – a web service to find local professionals – in the hope of finding a person to willingly film their wedding night (as in their bedroom antics) for £2000 ($3500 dollars).
In the advert, they revealed they got engaged in 2016 and have been searching for someone to take on the ‘odd’ request since then.
“Both myself and my fiancé believe that your ‘wedding day’ shouldn’t just be limited to a day, and actually your wedding night is just as important,” they wrote in the post.
They went on to say that they’ve already asked the videographer they have planned to shoot the wedding day, but he said he wouldn’t feel comfortable carrying out their night time request.
“Obviously we know that this is a bit of a weird request, but we just really don’t want to forget any moments from our day, or night, which is why we want everything on tape,” they said.
Due to the bizarre nature of the request, they’re offering the rather hefty sum to anyone who would be willing to film their big night.
They made it clear in the advert that they don’t want anybody else to see the tape, and it’s just for personal use.
According to the advert the person needs to be available from around 1am until 3am on the wedding night in September.
However, that might change depending on how long the party goes on for that night.
“We’d like a mixture of still and moving shots, and we also want it all to look professional, so any lighting in the room etc will need to be sorted beforehand,” they continued.
According to bark.com co-founder, Kai Feller, this is the first request of its kind the company have ever seen.
“Who knows, if we have a lot of applications perhaps we could look at making it an additional service on the site,” she said.
