Rudding Park in Harrogate has been crowned Hotel of the Year at at the annual VisitEngland Awards for Excellence which celebrates the best of English tourism. The hotel, which is set in 300 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, beat off competition from Lucknam Park in Chippenham and Seaham Hall in County Durham.
Its secluded, idyllic settling coupled with its top level facilities have made it a popular choice among staycationers and those flying it from abroad. It offers award-winning restaurants, an outdoor dining space, a kitchen garden, a cinema room, a golf course, indoor and outdoor pools and an acclaimed spa, which has both indoor and rooftop facilities. There's even the opportunity to gaze at the stars while lounging in the jacuzzi.
Since the spa's opening last May, it has received a number of awards - Best Newcomer at the Good Spa Guide Awards, Best UK Spa Hotel by The Sunday Times and 3 AA Rosettes for Horto, the new restaurant within The Spa.
“I am thrilled Rudding Park is officially the Best Hotel in England and I am proud of the whole team for delivering such high-quality service and care," said Rudding Park managing director Peter Banks. "Our philosophy is to continually invest in the business to ensure the products and services are of the highest standard."
To celebrate the award, Rudding Park has introduced a Summer Escapes offer with dinner, bed and breakfast from £95 per person per night.
