Somehow, we’re already a few weeks into January, the time when New Year’s resolutions start falling by the wayside. Promises of more wholesome eating and exercising and less doomscrolling and alcohol suddenly seem so hard to keep up. I started 2025 with the intention of eating out less and cutting down on my coffee consumption, both with mixed results. Luckily, there’s a new Costco product that’s helping me stick to them for a little while longer.

Sencha Blueberry Oat Milk Matcha Latte at Costco

Daily coffee shop runs add up quickly, so I’m constantly on the lookout for grocery-store finds that can help replicate the cafe experience at home. From bottled cold brew to seasonal creamer flavors, there are plenty of products that make whipping up a caffeinated drink just as convenient and easy as ordering at the drive-thru.

The latest such product is Sencha’s Blueberry Oat Milk Matcha Latte, which recently made its debut at Costco. This isn't the first Sencha product that the club store has carried. Warehouse-sized bags of the brand’s organic matcha powder have been available at Costco for years and earned rave reviews from green tea drinkers for both its flavor and wallet-friendly price tag. “Costco has made my daily matcha latte habit so much more affordable,” said one fan on Reddit.

To make this blueberry matcha latte, you won't need special tools like a bamboo whisk or frother—or even milk. The powdered mix contains organic Japanese matcha, oat milk, unrefined coconut sugar, and vanilla extract, so all you need to do is mix in some water. You can make both hot and iced versions of the drink, so you can easily enjoy the product straight into spring.

At $14.49 for each 20-serving bag, it’s far more budget-friendly than ordering a matcha latte at a cafe, and according to reviewers, just as delicious. “I have tried lots of matchas at stores and coffee shops and I keep coming back to this one,” said one reviewer on Sencha’s website. “The blueberry complements the matcha latte nicely and it's not too sweet!” wrote another fan.

If you want to try Sencha’s Blueberry Oat Milk Matcha Latte at Costco prices, make a trip to the warehouse store soon since it’s slated as a limited-time item.

How to Make Your Matcha Taste Like It Came From the Drive-Thru

It’s easy to level up your homemade matcha latte and give it the same cafe-quality feel as the ones you purchase at Dunkin’, Starbucks, or your local coffee shop. Here’s how:

  • Foam it up. To give it true coffee shop vibes, use a milk frother to foam up your hot matcha latte.

  • Freeze it. Pour the latte into an ice cube tray and add the resulting frozen cubes to the iced matcha so you can enjoy the drink without it getting diluted.

  • Top with cold foam. If you’re making a chilled version of the drink, add cold foam to make it feel extra decadent and fancy.

  • Make it a dirty matcha. Need a bit more caffeine to get you through the day? Combine it with a shot of espresso for an extra energy boost.

  • Add boba. Make bubble tea with these bouncy tapioca pearls, which can be purchased online and at local Asian supermarkets.

  • Blend it up. Add matcha powder to vanilla ice cream to make a matcha milkshake, or blitz a prepared latte with ice for a quick and easy Frappuccino copycat.
