Corrie fans all say the same thing about Kit star Jacob Roberts after 'terrible' experience

Coronation Street fans all said the same thing after actor Jacob Roberts shared an update on his personal life and opened up about a "terrible" experience. The soap star, who portrays Kit Green in the ITV soap, took to Instagram to share a touching post about his beloved pet dog Bugsy, who is a rescue dog.

Jacob, 34, who made his debut on the cobbles earlier this year, shared a carousel of photographs and videos of him and Bugsy, along with a lengthy caption about the importance of rescuing dogs. He also got candid about the reality of the taking on a rescue dog, admitting he found things tough to begin with.

"One year spent with Bugsy!" Jacob told his followers on Instagram. "Now… He chewed up my sofa, his recall was terrible so I was out for hours with him and every pair of socks I own have holes in, but I wouldn’t change for the world."

The actor continued: "Rescues are a tough work and require a lot of patience. In this year he’s come on leaps and bounds and all of them problems have gone away. He’s super confident now and as playful as ever. Shoutout to @thepackprojectuk who find homes for stray dogs and cats who are in need of a loving family! If you are thinking of rescuing just keep in mind they do come with problems, but they give you such a reward by the end of it."

Many praised Jacob for rescuing Bugsy in the comments. One person said: "Thank you, Jacob, for your good heart in rescuing Bugsy. These photos are pure love. Our world needs more kindness. Love you on Coronation Street."

"Awww I love this. Dogs are just the best," a second fan said. Another added: "Bless him, you are very lucky," while comebody else wrote: "Thank you for going through a Rescue. Bugsy landed on his paws."

Jacob is set to take centre stage over the festive period in Coronation Street, as Kit's fling with Shona comes to light. A betrayed David sets out for revenge and seeks to get Kit into trouble for the role he played in Lauren's case, but it seems Kit may be one step ahead. Teasers for an episode due to air on 30 December reveal Kit could be tipped to be Corrie's next villain, as it seems there's more to him than meets the eye.
