Coronation Street's Sair Khan enjoys last-minute baby moon before birth of first baby
Coronation Street star Sair Khan has shared her stunning babymoon with fans as she counts down the days to giving birth. The pregnant actress, who has played Alya Nazir on the long-running ITV soap since 2014, shared pictures of her stunning getaway.
The 36-year-old revealed she whisked herself away to the Titanic Spa Hotel in Huddersfield with her boyfriend Nathan Chilton.
The couple announced they were expecting their first child together in December. Sharing an update away from Weatherfield, the star shared a number of photos from the "babymoon.” In one picture, she could be seen getting ready for a day of pampering as she posed with her other half in a grey robe.
Another picture showed her meditating outdoors, while a video saw Sair rubbing her bump as she tried out a birthing pool.
Recalling what she’s been doing to prepare for the imminent birth, the Corrie actress wrote: “The past week in readiness for our lil Spring awakening.
"Thanks @titanic_spa for a last-minute babymoon and the BEST pregnancy massage from a lovely therapist called Imogen (highly recommend her if you go!) I can’t believe I only managed to fit in one pregnancy massage this whole time. But it was 1000% worth it.
"Nathan and I have been pulling cards each morning from @therisingcircle. They’ve been such a great guide for setting our daily intentions and staying grounded. The moving continues (not sure if it will ever end at this point). Birth-pool testing and baby thumps.
"Cheeky Nando’s refuel and dance party between trips to buy mops and house bits. Trying my best to keep it moving with the most gentle of walks.”
Coronation Street stars were quick to share their excitement at Sair becoming a mum as they flooded the comments section with positive messages.
Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster, said: "Gorgeous! So excited for you both", while former Emma Brooker star Alexandra Mardell said: "Gorgeous!!!! Eeeeeeeee so excited.”
Katie McGlynn, who previously played Sinead Tinker, said: "Love this! So excited for you both! Beautiful.
In December Sair Khan shared the happy news that she is pregnant. In an adorable Instagram post, she shared several snaps showcasing her blossoming bump, and revealed her baby is due in the spring.
In the caption, she wrote: "Hello… It’s been a little while since posting on here which has been a real mix of emotions. With all that is happening in the world it didn’t feel like the right time to share but we also know it’s okay to keep hope and pray for peace whilst acknowledging that we feel blessed and grateful."
Addressing her boyfriend Nathan Chilton's ongoing health battle, Sair continued: "Last year was a challenging time for us both with Nathan’s chondroblastoma surgery on his pelvis.
"It’s been a long road to recovery and still has many obstacles ahead as we deal with the spread of the tumour to his lungs.
"Life can be difficult and there’ll always be challenges to face but there are also important lessons to be learnt and gifts to be cherished.
"We’re so excited for the arrival of Baby Chilton in Spring 2024."
