Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon shares pregnancy plans but clashes with partner over expanding family
Coronation Street favourite Lucy Fallon has given fans an inside look at her plans for expanding her family as she revealed her desire for two more children in a teaser for next week’s episode of ITV documentary series Drama Queens.
The 28 year old star, who is already a proud mum to one child, Sonny Jude, made the surprising admission during a heated discussion with her partner Ryan Ledson, when the pair appeared to be discussing whether to expand their family in the future. During the discussion, Ryan said: “Maybe one more,” before Lucy countered his viewpoint with her own and argued: “Two more.”
Standing his ground, Ryan quickly responded: “One for me, really,” before Lucy again argued: “Two more. I have the uterus!”
The interesting debate came shortly after Lucy had discussed the prospect of her character Bethany Platt falling pregnant in Coronation Street, something it turned out she was strongly against. While looking at her upcoming storylines ahead of shooting earlier in the episode, Lucy told Ryan: “I read that next week I’m getting run over, and everyone thinks that I’m pregnant. Not me, but Bethany, but she’s not pregnant.”
Ryan then quizzed: “Do you think that’s something they could bring into the show?” prompting Lucy to quickly clap back: “God no! I’ve got one at home, I don’t need one there! It’s not what I need.”
The insightful documentary series, which takes a look behind the scenes at a number of famous actresses and their lives away from the cameras, also gave fans a firsthand look at the inner workings of Lucy’s relationship, something she admitted herself wasn’t as glamorous as viewers may have believed.
During a quiet moment, Lucy told the cameras: "I think everyone thinks that being with a footballer, is going to come with loads of glamorous things - but Ryan is really, really normal. He’s a normal lad from Liverpool.”
Teasing what lies ahead for the couple, the soap star turned her attention towards thoughts of marriage as she said: “I am not engaged. It’s actually become a bit of a running joke now, but I think the more that I go on about it, the longer it’s going to be.”
Clearly hoping to take her relationship to the next level and tie the knot with her footballer beau, Lucy then sheepishly conceded: “Maybe I need to stop talking about it and then it’ll happen, maybe. “
Drama Queens continues Wednesdays at 9pm on ITVBe and ITVX
