Condragulations! RuPaul and his partner of 23 years are married!

It’s been ruvealed that iconic drag queen and reality TV host RuPaul has married his partner of 23 years, and YAAAAAASSSS COME THROUGH MAMA!

There’s a lot to celebrate in the world of RuPaul at the moment. The star’s reality show (and our fave, tbh), RuPaul’s Drag Race, is coming back for a ninth season next week (March 24th), and the queens competing for the crown of America’s Next Drag Superstar look s-i-c-k-e-n-i-n-g. What’s more, there’s a special guest appearance from Lady Gaga in the Season Nine premiere, and her cameo looks like it’s going to be epic. And Drag Race is being moved to an all new network, VH1. What a time to be alive!

Now it seems we have another cause for celebration as Mama Ru has gotten married!

In an interview with Hollywood Today Live, RuPaul ruvealed that he’d wed his partner of 23 years (!), Georges LeBar, in January of this year.

Speaking to the show’s co-host Ross Matthews, who also appears as a judge on Drag Race, the iconic drag queen and Supermodel of the World spoke about first meeting LeBar, before announcing the news.

“I’ve never said this on television before, but we’re married,” he said. “We got married on our 23rd [anniversary]. I met him on the dance floor at Limelight [club in New York City] in 1994, on his birthday. So we got married on his birthday, the anniversary of when we met, this year — in January.”

RuPaul also spoke about how LeBar was “a great guy” who “doesn’t care about show business at all.”

“He couldn’t care less,” he said.

Continuing, he spoke about how LeBar owns a ranch in Wyoming, and told how when he visits no one pays attention to his Western outfits. Watch the interview below.

“Thank you all for the love & kindness. “I cry not for myself, but for those who never felt the joy we felt”~The Supremes “I Hear A Symphony,” he wrote.

Condragulations to RuPaul and Georges LeBar. We couldn’t be happier for you, and wish you all the best for the future!

As a wise woman once said: “If you can’t love yourself how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else.” Well, we have a feeling there’s a lot of love going on right now!
