Join us on the 17th October at Women’s HealthHQ (aka House of Hearst) for a special charity event celebrating World Menopause Day.

Held exclusively for Women’s Health Collective members, the event will feature an explorative panel talk designed to empower and enlighten you about all things menopause. Our host, Editor-in-Chief Claire Sanderson, will be joined by Women’s Health expert trainer and menopause fitness coach, Kate Rowe-Ham, and specialist nutritionist and Women's Health contributor, Emma Bardwell.

Together, the three of them will discuss the best ways to navigate hormonal change and answer any burning questions you might have about your own menopause journey. As well as receiving a welcome drink, you’ll also leave with a goodie bag, including supplements and a copy of Kate’s book, Fitter, Calmer, Stronger in 30 Days.

Proceeds from ticket sales for the event will be donated to Wellbeing of Women, a UK charity committed to funding research, education and advocacy within the field of women’s reproductive and gynaecological health. Its work helps women from menstruation to menopause and beyond, changing and saving lives. In its sixty years since inception, it has helped millions of babies survive and thrive, been at the forefront of gynaecological cancer prevention and treatment, and campaigned to transform the understanding and treatment of heavy periods.

Our charity for the night was chosen by Kate Rowe-Ham, one of the Women’s Health collective expert trainers. Kate is a personal trainer and founder of Owning Your Menopause, an online community dedicated to helping women navigate their way through this life stage. A mum of three, Kate works to educate women about midlife fitness, and how movement can be key in helping manage the symptoms associated with menopause.

Kate is joined on the panel by Emma Bardwell, one of the UK’s leading menopause nutritionists. Kate offers evidence-based advice on how to make the menopause a more positive experience for women by tailoring their diets. Alongside running a one-to-one clinic, Emma runs Menopause in the Workplace sessions to help organisations become more inclusive. She’s also the co-author of The Perimenopause Solution with Dr Shahzadi Harper.

As well as discussing their own menopause journeys and giving insights and advice, Kate and Emma will be on hand to answer any questions you might have when it comes to the best ways to manage symptoms. We’re hoping that you leave feeling empowered and better equipped to deal with this life stage – and with a brilliant goodie bag, too, of course.
