Come as You Are: Hairstyles That Stood Out at Men’s Fall 2025 Shows in Milan and Paris
MILAN — Once again, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons set the tone in Milan offering that much-needed spark in an unusually quiet fashion week marked by a very slim calendar.
For their Prada men’s fall 2025 collection, the designers leaned on instinct and spontaneity, which reflected not only in their eclectic lineup but also in the individual beauty looks on the runway. The approach was seen on many catwalks here, with makeup artists keeping things unfussy with natural complexions and hairstylists mostly opting for enhancing each model’s personality.

Sounds banal? Not at all. There were far from boring options as some quirky looks popped up here and there, shaking things up.
Take the Magliano show, where hairstylist Louis Ghewy and the Wella team led by Manuel Sunda created many different hairstyles, the most eye-catching of which bet big on gravity-defying volumes, airy textures and punk nods.
Punkish manes also popped up among the models-slash-wedding-guests that walked the JordanLuca show, before the brand’s designers Jordan Bowen and Luca Marchetto tied the knot for real and served one of the most viral Instagram contents of the season. Extra-graphic and super gelled Liberty spikes might not be the traditional go-to hairstyle for a wedding, but leave it to hair wizard Anthony Turner to make that happen.
Gel was used profusely at Pronounce, as well, where hairstylist Massimo Di Stefano used Keune products to create sleek and wet looks on some models, extending bangs beyond necessary for an edgy effect.
Moving to Paris, shows like Yohji Yamamoto kept with the individual approach, emphasized by a great cast that included Italian music star Mahmood. Ruffled manes were among the most popular looks, while a heightened sense of wildness ran in the fuzzy textures Guido Palau conceived for the Sacai show.
The approach was taken to new heights — literally — on the Feng Chen Wang runway, where many models paraded in gravity-defying looks hairstylist Ilham Mestour created with a little help from GHD.
If looking for consistency, one can always rely on the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus show, where Takeo Arai opted for long manes with braids and messy locks to be topped by the floral head pieces designed and crafted by milliner Nobuki Hizume.
