This colour of kitchen is set to be huge in 2025, say interiors experts
Kitchens are the hub of the home, often the most used room and a great one can add value to your house. In recent years, bolder-coloured units have become popular replacing the traditional white or wood-effect cabinets of years gone by.
There's been a surge in people fitting navy, green and grey kitchens to spruce up this room. But the colour trend for this year is a bit different.
Pink kitchens are set to be huge in 2025. And whether that's pink cabinets or painting your walls that colour, it's a trend that has grown in popularity in recent months.

Victoria Harrison, editor at home and design platform, Houzz said: "Shades of grey, green and blue remain popular in kitchens, but there’s another colour trend that’s been steadily emerging over the past year - warm plaster pink.
“Somewhere between a soft pink and a chalky plaster tone, this shade is a warm neutral that has a calming effect,” she added. “Thanks to its versatility, it pairs well with pale wood and white, but can be beautifully offset with contrasting hues, such as dark green or blue.”
Lindsay Anderson, design manager at Sustainable Kitchens, agrees and said pairing pink units with a pale wood creates a gentle colour palette perfect for the space. "This gives the room a sanctuary-like feel and serves as a lovely base for a kitchen,” she added.
“Because plaster pink acts as a warm neutral, you can easily introduce elements such as artwork, plants and accessories to add character to the space.
Kitchen experts Magnet say the colour works well in kitchens in several ways. They too suggest teaming pink with wood flooring, adding: "A herringbone wooden floor is a great way to add an art deco touch to a modern pink kitchen."
They also suggest a pink island if you're not feeling brave enough to go full-out. They said: "If you’re not quite ready to go all-out and paint your cabinets or walls pink, then painting your kitchen island pink is a great way to tap into the trend and introduce a splash of joy into your space."
And they say if you want to go for brighter pink but keep the space feeling grown-up, think about using a bold contrasting colour as well. Magnet added: "If you love candy pink but are concerned that it might make your space feel less sophisticated, then balance with a dark blue."
