Coleen Nolan breaks silence as she returns to Loose Women following sister's death
Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has broken her silence as she returned to the ITV show following the death of her sister, Linda Nolan.
The 59-year-old appeared on the daytime show on Tuesday (January 4) not long after Linda's funeral which occured over the weekend.
Linda, who was part of the famous band, The Nolan Sisters, alongside Coleen, sadly passed away decades after she was first diagnosed with cancer.
Sharing her thoughts on her return and how she's currently coping, Coleen said: "It's difficult to say isn't it? It's so soon, we're all doing great. We have great moments then you absolutely have down moments and they come out of the blue!"

Sharing insight into the funeral proceedings, she said: "It was a beautiful day, if you could say that, for Linda- she would have absolutely loved it, and the weather was beautiful.
"And more importantly, the turnout from the public, right from when she passed away, the public- you know, people we've never met before sending the most amazing messages, cards and flowers to the whole family.
"You probably think 'they don't even read it', but we read as many as we can, and I can't tell you how much it means to us, and that really helped and, of course, all of you guys."
Discussing her return, she added: "You know it's just hard, because there was a time when I thought do I go back, is it too soon?
"And then you have to because life goes on."
Nolan rose to fame in the 1970s as part of the popular group alongside her sisters Coleen, Maureen, Bernie, Denise, and Anne. The group achieved success with hits like the 1980 disco anthem I'm In The Mood for Dancing.
In 2005, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, but after receiving treatment, she was given the all-clear in 2011. Unfortunately, in 2017, she was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. Over the years, the cancer spread, eventually reaching her brain by 2023.
Announcing her death to her fans on Instagram on January 15, Coleen wrote: "Her wit, humour and laughter was infectious, her presence could light up any room," Coleen said in her tribute on Instagram., external
"Linda had a heart full of compassion and always knew how to bring comfort and joy to those around her.
