Coke Has a New Flavor Coming Soon

We have the ~juicy~ details.

There are very few constants in the world, but there’s one thing for certain: as long as the two remain in business, there will always be a Coca-Cola vs. Pepsi debate.

Billy Joel wrote about the “rock and roller cola wars” in his 1989 hit “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” and, 35 years later, the wars are still raging. Just when you think one company has the upper hand—like Coke debuting its customizable Coca-Cola Freestyle machine or making deals with our favorite restaurants—the other one does something to match. Enter the customizable Pepsi Spire fountain and PepsiCo deals.

And that’s not even mentioning the flavor competition. Earlier this spring, Pepsi announced it was releasing Pepsi Peach and Pepsi Lime for the summer. You can probably guess where this is going... Now, Coca-Cola has a new peach-flavored soda coming soon—though, there’s a bit of a catch.

Peach Coca-Cola Coming to Restaurants This Summer

On May 1—the same day Sprite Remix Aruba Jam hit Wendy’s—Zaxby’s customers noticed a new peach-flavored drink to go along with its fan-favorite Peach Sweet Tea. Customers at the fast food restaurant found they could select Peach Coca-Cola or Peach Coca-Cola Zero from the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines.

A Zaxby’s spokesperson confirmed that Coca-Cola rolled out the flavor exclusively at Zaxby’s for the month of May. However, after May 30, Peach Coca-Cola will be available in Coca-Cola Freestyle machines across restaurants, movie theaters, and anywhere else the touchscreen soda fountain is available nationwide.

It’s not clear if this is a limited-time flavor or if Peach Coca-Cola will join the likes of Sprite Peach, Fanta Peach, Mello Yello Peach, and Barq’s Creme Soda Peach as a permanent Coca-Cola Freestyle option.

Either way, we know some Coca-Cola fans will be excited to learn they can once again have peach-flavored Coke. While it’s not the exact same as the Georgia Peach Coke that was sold in 2018, it will still fulfill the peachy craving fans have been missing since its discontinuation.

“Literally the best flavor ever put out and I want one again,” a Redditor wrote.

Hopefully, it’s what you’ve spent three years looking for.

We wish we could speed to Zaxby’s to try the new flavor, but sadly we’re not in one of the 21 states Zaxby’s has locations in. If you’re in the same boat, that’s okay, we only have to wait a little bit longer until we can try Peach Coca-Cola at most fast food joints—and Zaxby’s customers have made it sound like it’s worth the wait.
