Claudia Winkleman is taking over Graham Norton's Radio 2 Saturday morning show

Claudia Winkleman has been announced as the new host for BBC Radio 2's incredibly popular Saturday morning show, taking over from Graham Norton after ten years.

The Strictly star will be taking on the Saturday 10am-1pm slot in February of next year, when Graham will be moving to Virgin Radio to present a new Saturday and Sunday show.

BBC Radio 2 shared the news on its Instagram page writing: "Claudia Winkleman will be the new host of Radio 2's Saturday morning show (10am-1pm) from February 2021 💫"

Both the Radio 2 account and Claudia herself shared the quote: "I'm not often speechless but the chance to be with the wonderful Radio 2 listeners every Saturday has left me, quite frankly, gobsmacked."

And Graham took to Twitter to congratulate his replacement, writing: "Congratulations @ClaudiaWinkle You’ll love it!! Welcome to @BBCRadio2 Saturday mornings!!"

Claudia also shared some of her feelings on taking on the show after the iconic Norton, writing : "Thrilled. Terrified. Enormous shoes to fill. Send socks."

It's a big change after ten years but we're sure both their new shows are going to be wonderful.

The BBC have confirmed Winkleman will present her new show throughout the year - including the months she's presenting strictly. Looks like Claudia has some busy weekends ahead of her!
