Claire Danes shows why we all need a monochrome suit in our wardrobes
Claire Danes took to the red carpet in a stylish monochrome suit at the Sophie's Choice 40th anniversary screening on Tuesday (6 February).
Known for her elegant fashion choices, Claire looked gorgeous in her all-black outfit, which featured a flattering tie waist detail and 80s style shoulder pads.
To style her suit, the American actress wore a slinky silk vest underneath her suit, paired with matching ankle boots and a slouchy black handbag.
However to give her look a rock chick feel, Claire elevated her outfit with a gold chunky chain and opted for a statement dark red lipstick.
While many of us may associate suits with workwear, Claire's iconic red carpet take on this monochrome fit has made us see a black suit in a new light.
A black suit is an investment piece that we believe can be dressed up or down or worn separately.

The oversized blazer mixed with the sophisticated straight leg trousers offered the well-known Devil Wears Prada actress a flattering silhouette.
To accessorise her look, Meryl added a pair of dramatic chandelier earrings and Wayfarer-style glasses.
