Ciara Made Her Baby Bump an Accessory by Dusting It With Gold Flakes at “The Color Purple” Premiere
When Ciara sees a golden opportunity to make a fashion statement, she takes it.
The “1, 2 Step” singer arrived at the premiere of The Color Purple in Los Angeles wearing a radiant white couture look from Georges Hobeika.
Walking the red purple carpet, Ciara showed off a monochromatic ensemble composed of straight-leg pants, which puddled around her matching pumps, and a coordinating button-up top with a dramatic pleated cape. The best part? Ciara’s top was left open to reveal her growing baby bump, which was adorned with shimmering gold flakes.
The 38-year-old singer is expecting her third child with NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, whom she married in 2016. In case you missed it, she first announced her pregnancy in August, with a sly Instagram video that saw her posing by the side of a pool, revealing her baby bump with her silhouette.
“You look at me like that again, we make another kid…You my heart I’m your rib,” the Texas native wrote in her caption, quoting her own song, “How We Roll.”
Ciara and Russell are already parents to two kids—daughter Sienna, six, and son Win, three. Meanwhile, the “Body Party” singer also shares a nine-year-old son, named Future Zahir, with her ex, rapper Future.
You can see Ciara portray Nettie Harris in the highly anticipated musical adaptation of The Color Purple, which hits U.S. theaters December 25. Her costars in the Oprah Winfrey–produced drama include Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, H.E.R., Halle Bailey, and Colman Domingo.
