Christine McGuinness is looking better and more confident than ever these days, following her split two years ago from comedian Paddy McGuinness - though for now, the pair continue to co-parent their three children in the family home in Cheshire.

And according to a source, the stunning model and TV personality, 36 - who it was revealed recently will appear in the new series of Celebrity Masterchef on BBC One later this summer alongside the likes of Chloe Burrows, former Eastender Danielle Harold and Charlotte Crosby - is ready for love, following the end of her 11-year marriage to Paddy.

The source told: ‘Christine finally feels like it's the right time to put herself out there and get back on the dating scene. It's been two years since she and Paddy separated, and she knows it's the right time for her.

“She's looking incredible and has got her body in tip-top shape. She's been at the gym every day and is looking and feeling the best she's felt in a long time.”

Now that Take Me Out host Paddy, 50, has publicly opened up in an interview about the fact that he is dating again, saying back in April that he is on the dating scene, but is currently ‘single’ - it seems Christine is ready to tip her toes in the dating pool, too - scary as that might be.

They added, “She's ready for love and to share her life with someone new. She's ready to put the past behind her and say goodbye to a tough time. Now that Paddy has admitted to dating it's given her a push for a fresh start.

“Eventually over time, Christine would love to settle down again - she's a real homely girl at heart who loves nothing more than spending time with people important to her. She deserves happiness after being hurt - she's put on a brave face for so long but she's ready to move forward and feel loved again.”

Christine is a devoted and doting mother to the former couple’s three children, and our source claims that finding the time between parenting and a busy career to devote to dating could be the only thing holding her back - as well as a twinge of mum guilt, something that every mum in her situation would naturally feel.

“She's very busy, juggling work and looking after her kids. They'll always be her priority and she can't help but have mum guilt. But her friends are telling her she's a great mum and that it's time to be happy.’

And according to Tina Wilson, relationship expert and founder of the Wingman app, it’s normal that Christine could always be feeling a little bit apprehensive about her new life - and how any potential new relationship could affect her children.

The former couple have ten-year-old twins Leo and Penelope and eight-year-old daughter Felicity together – who are all on the autistic spectrum. Christine was diagnosed with autism herself at the age of 33.

“When you start a new relationship, whether it's casual or serious, there will always be trepidation and some nerves”, she explained.

“As a mum as well, it’s normal to be emotional and question everything that affects your children, and so it’s important to pause and take things step by step, not making the situation bigger than it actually is.”

Tina went on, “Mothers have guilt for many things but if Christine was leaving her children to go to the supermarket and buy groceries, she would likely have less guilt, even if it’s the same amount of time.

“ It’s because the emotions that are associated with dating are heightened with anxiety, so leaving the children for a few hours feels more emotional – when really it’s no different from her taking time away for a working project or such.”

Christine and Paddy announced they had made the 'difficult decision' to part ways in July 2021 - but vowed to always be a 'loving family'. Ever since, rumours have swirled about what’s really going on in their romantic lives.

Top Gear host Paddy - who was linked to TV star Kirsty Gallacher last year - explained that he felt he was ready to get back out there. But following a couple of dates, he decided that for now, he is 'happy being single'.

It seems Christine is ready to move on, too. She has opened up previously on how painful her divorce from Paddy has been, so who would blame her for wanting some true happiness again.

Earlier this year, she made a life-changing journey to Wales for the BBC Two series Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales. Despite confessing that she has already started her journey ‘towards freedom’, she revealed: “The only life I've known is with Patrick and I'm not sure what my path is now I'm on my own. I need to figure it out.

But it seems she is finally doing just that. Christine seems to be in a good place. She looks incredible, her career is skyrocketing and if she wants to find him, she certainly deserves her Mr Right. Who knows if he’s just around the corner…
