Christine Lampard's husband Frank says she keeps him on a 'tight leash' during Loose Women appearance

Frank Lampard has confessed that his wife Christine keeps a close eye on him, as he made an appearance on Thursday's episode of Loose Women.

The 45 year old football manager joined the show via video link to chat about Soccer Aid with actor Martin Compston, who might be better known as DS Steve Arnott in Line of Duty.

During their conversation, Denise Welch, who recently left the Loose Women in shock with a racy confession about her husband, informed Frank that the hosts would be doing a Find Your Phone segment later in the programme and humorously cautioned: “Just be careful you stay where you are and good luck.”

Frank chuckled and responded: “I am fully aware that Christine knows where I am at all times. And if she doesn't for like five minutes, I get a call saying: 'What are you doing?’ I'm a good boy. I'm on a tight leash.”

Christine giggled and retorted: “That works both ways!” which had the audience laughing.

Considering Frank will be busy with Soccer Aid for the rest of the week, she queried: “Who's going to take my bins out this week, that's the big question.”

Frank quipped: “That's a good question, maybe you can Christine? That's not my job!”

Christine laughed as Denise chimed in: “That's a blue job.”

Soccer Aid is set to return once again on Sunday 9 June with a plethora of celebrities and former professional footballers participating.

The charity match, which has raised over £90million for Unicef since its inception in 2006, will be played at Stamford Bridge for the first time since 2019.

This interview came after Christine previously stated that she had children to stop other people asking when she was going to start a family.

During her appearance on Loose Women, she confessed: “I had children to stop people asking me when I was going to have them. I'm glad I've had them.”

She continued: “It's because everyone assumes you have to be. My biggest ambition in life was to be self-sufficient, look after my mum and dad. It sounds very basic but that's what drove me. I wanted to be able to look after myself. I got my first job and 15. I worked through school and uni.”

The presenter also shut down any future plans of having anymore kids as when asked, she answered: No, no, no, no, no. I'm done."

The Northern Irish TV star, who tied the knot with Frank in 2015, shares Patricia, five, and Freddie, two, with him. Christine is also stepmum to Luna, 18, and Isla, 16, from Frank's previous relationship with Spanish model Elen Rives.
