Chris Evans speaks out over leaked nude

Chris Evans from Avengers: End Game has broken his silence after accidentally sharing a nude to his Instagram Stories over the weekend.

In case you've been living under a rock and managed to miss the furore, the 39-year-old had a bit of a mishap while sharing a video from his camera roll with his 6.2million followers.

Posting a screen record from a game of 'Heads Up' on his Stories, what the actor didn't realise was that his camera roll came up after the video stopped playing, and showed a close-up photo of a penis.

Another picture showed Chris's face alongside text that read: "Guard that p***y.

And while it's unclear who the penis belonged to, the internet obviously went into overdrive about the saga, leading the video to be deleted and Chris to trend on Twitter.

Now, the actor has broken his silence on the faux pas, using it as an opportunity to encourage his American followers to vote in the upcoming presidential elections. "Now that I have your attention....VOTE Nov 3rd!!!" he wrote to his 14million Twitter followers.

Classy way to handle it, Chris. He also opened up about the incident on Tamron Hall’s talk show in the US. "Listen, it was an interesting weekend full of lessons learned. Lot of teachable moments," Chris said. ‘It was embarrassing, but things happen. You gotta roll with the punches."

This comes as fans and celebs jumped to Chris's defence following the accidental upload, calling for his privacy to be respected. Two Broke Girls actress Kat Dennings pointed out the inequality in reaction to female celebrity nudes leaking.

"The public respect for Chris Evans’ privacy/feelings is wonderful," she tweeted. "Wouldn’t it be nice if it extended to women when this kind of thing happens?"

In 2016, the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson suffered hacks which resulted in personal photo leaks - some of which can still be found on porn sites and social media. Well said, Kat.
