While we're usually champions of having chocolate in and around our mouths at all times, it's a different kind of Easter egg that's grabbed our attention this year - a cheese one.
So you can keep your Cadbury (actually maybe we'll have both) because these offerings are really bringing home the
bacon dairy, with two solid cheese Easter eggs for all your cheesy fantasies.
First off, the Cheesealicious Easter Egg. Made entirely from cheddar cheese, this egg promises to be a "deliciously light cheddar cheese egg, made using the very finest milk, creating an addictive Easter treat that’ll keep you coming back for more time and time again."
And if that wasn't enough, Butlers' Blacksticks have launched a Blue Cheese Easter egg that may well take your fancy. The egg description reads, "Butlers use the same incredible quality blue cheese that’s lovingly handmade with 100% natural ingredients at their family-run dairy in rural Lancashire.
"A boundary-pushing cheese, Blacksticks Blue is made from milk that comes from family and friends within a 10-mile radius of the dairy giving it its famous creamy, mild, indulgent flavour. Blacksticks loves to get a bit fruity, so slice up a fig or plum to reach ultimate cheese nirvana. If you’re feeling more adventurous, spread the cheese thickly onto a toasted hot cross bun for a sweet ‘n’ savoury hit."
The Blacksticks Blue and Cheester Eggs will be available from April 1st at Waitrose, Booths, Selfridges as well as online on the Butlers website, amazon and eBay, RRP: £4
