Chocolate is great, but cheese will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Which is one of the reasons we love Christmas so much: the endless cheese boards, the cranberry and brie sandwiches and the baked camembert on Boxing Day, rightfully eaten in front of Gavin & Stacey reruns.
In fact, the only thing that could add to our excitement as we head towards the cheesiest month of all, would be a way to shoe horn cheese into our day-to-day in the run up to the holiday.
Which is why we were so excited to hear that the Cheese Advent Calendar from So Wrong It's Nom is launching again this season, for the fourth year running.
With 24 delicious pieces of cheese - from Applewood to Sage Derby - hidden behind the windows, The Cheese Advent Calendar is the perfect alternative to the usual chocolate variety.
And did we mention, it’s only £8?
Founder and Cheese Queen, Annem Hobson, says: “The response from fans - many of whom have followed since day one - has been phenomenal. I’m thrilled to launch a new and improved version of the Cheese Advent Calendar based on feedback from the loyal cheese-loving community!”
Buy it: Ilchester Cheese Advent Calendar | available from Amazon early November 2020
Also available from: Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Waitrose and Ocado
Last year’s cheese-loving shoppers left reviews for the calendar in their hundreds on the online retailer’s site.
“Bought this for the special man in my life, could be the best ever advent calendar he has ever been bought was his words. He looks forward to his daily cheese fix, no more creeping to the fridge late at night steeling chunks of cheese. Will definitely get him another next year.” said one.
Another added: ““I am very, very impressed with the item and the shipper! This arrived way earlier than expected in excellent condition and more than met our expectations. The cheese is delicious and a nice size sample.”
