How to make a crochet cushion cover
Step 1
Make 24 granny squares, each with 8 rounds.

Step 2
Place two granny squares together, front sides together. Stitch across the edge of both, working 1dc blo in each stitch on both sides.
Step 3
Open up the squares and repeat for a third square in the row. Repeat this until you have stitch 9 of the squares together to make a 3x3 square. This will be the front panel of your cushion.
Step 4
Following the same method, create two back panels with the remaining granny squares. Stitch together two panels, each with 2x3 squares (6 granny squares in each panel).
Step 5
Edge your granny square in a different colour to the last round. To edge your square, work one double crochet, back loop only, in each stitch around the edge of the square.
Step 6
Place the front panel and one of the back panels together, front sides pointing out on both.
Step 7
Beginning at one corner of the back panel, stitch the two panels together, making sure the stitches on each are aligned. To do this, work 1 double crochet, back loop only, into each stitch along the edge of both panels, inserting your hook into both panels.
Step 8
Repeat this process for the second back panel, placing it over the top of the first back panel so there’s an overlap one granny square-wide. You will need to insert your hook into all three panels for this centre area.
Step 9
Insert the cushion pad into your cushion cover.
