Charlotte Tilbury's New Mascara Can Withstand Basically Anything

During a recent humid subway commute, sunscreen got in my right eye, making it tear up and leaving me with no other recourse but to rub at it in hopes of finding relief. By the time the SPF sting subsided, I was sure my makeup would be rendered smudged and clownish. That proved true for my concealer, which couldn't hack it under the circumstances. But my mascara? Miraculously, it remained intact.
I was wearing Charlotte Tilbury's new Exagger-Eyes Mascara, which dropped earlier this week. (I'd gotten the chance to test it out for more than a month ahead of its release.) A tubing and volume-building formula with a curved wand, it offers plenty of other benefits beyond its impressive staying power. The shape of the spoolie allows it to really fan out, curl and separate lashes as it coats them in mascara.
I first got into tubing mascaras last fall, when Fashionista published a piece on them, explaining that since they "hug each and every individual lash, it gives you that falsies effect with even lash separation," per makeup artist Jamie Greenberg. You see, I want to serve looks, but I'm also lazy and constantly touching my face, which usually doesn't help my makeup stay in place. Tubing formulas have been working better for me than others, and now, I think I've found my perfect one.
