Anu Gupta has a new transformative book ready to hit shelves.

The BE MORE with Anu founder & CEO will publish a new book this fall. Breaking Bias: Where Stereotypes and Prejudices Come From – and the Science-Backed Method to Unravel Them is forthcoming from Hay House, an imprint of Penguin Random House. The book will also feature a foreword from the Dalai Lama.

Breaking Bias
, per a statement shared with PEOPLE, will blend neuroscience with Buddhist wisdom to create a book “for an inclusive world in the 21st century.” The volume invites readers to understand how they can embrace a more inclusive lifestyle by recognizing biases in their own lives and in the world around them.

Through an exploration of human identity, as well biases rooted in that identity, the book argues that breaking such biases are crucial to “unlocking” issues in our world, such as racism, sexism and classism, as well as loneliness and climate change.

Gupta, whose company BE MORE with Anu is dedicated to unconscious bias training, has a personal connection to the book as well. The author’s intersecting identities as a “gay brown immigrant man with Buddhist, Christian and Hindu roots who is also an American lawyer and scholar of bias,” have given him unique insight into the topic.

Gupta will also utilize his PRISM toolkit, backed by science and including contemplative tools, to help readers recognize and dismantle their own learned and unconscious biases, and see them at play in the larger world.
