Céline Dion has taken on an interesting new side hustle by launching a gender neutral kids clothing range.

The singer turned fashion designer has teamed up with with children’s boutique Nununu to create a line of children’s clothes called Celinununu.

Taking to social media to tease the collection’s launch video, the performer, who lost her husband Rene Angélil to throat cancer in 2016, wrote: “I’ve always loved Nununu and what they represent. Partnering with them to encourage a dialogue of equality and possibility makes so much sense.”

The items, available via the label’s website, include leather jackets, denim biker jackets, skull patch sweatshirts, leggings, slippers and diagonal zip star hoodies.

“CELINUNUNU liberates children from the traditional roles of boy/girl, and enables younger people to grow on values of equality with the freedom to strengthen their own power of personality based on mutual respect,” the label’s website reads.

“CELINUNUNU empowers these forces of creativity and imagination, inspiring the freedom of the spirit and an empowering dialog for all,” the site continues.

“Because everything is possible, equally.”

The pieces are described as “gender neutral clothing for little humans with freedom of mind”.

Celinununu’s collection will be available in over 70 sizes, from 0-6M to 14 years, with prices ranging from $20 – $290 (approx £15-£230)

With a mostly grey, black and silver colour-way, the clothes themselves are cute yet cool with a rocky, baby-goth vibe.

If only they came in grown up sizes!

Of course it makes total sense that Dion should dip her toes into the fashion design waters since her style has experiencing something of a ‘Dionaissance’ of late.

It all started last year with the singer rocking couture creations for Vogue and making a legendary splash at Paris Couture Fashion Week, 2017 was Dion’s comeback.

But the 80s icon’s sartorial prowess is showing no signs of slowing.

And now she’s sprinkling a little of her style know-how on the younger generation.
