Celebrity Gogglebox fans all say same thing over Joe Swash's new look with wife Stacey Solomon
Celebrity Gogglebox fans were treated to a fresh episode on Friday night, with our favourite celebs sharing their thoughts on the week's TV from the comfort of their sofas.
Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash returned to our screens from their cosy Pickle Cottage, snuggling up with their furry friends on their plush cream sofa.
But viewers couldn't help but notice that Joe, known for his role in EastEnders, appeared 'very different.'
The pair joined other celebrities in welcoming the nation into their homes as they tuned into programmes like Top of The Pops 1992, Nevermets, and A Quiet Place. However, it wasn't just the shows that caught the audience's attention; many commented on how Joe, 42, seemed to have changed somewhat.
Nestled in with Stacey at Pickle Cottage, the conversation turned to marine life. Joe pondered: "What do you think jellyfish are?" reports the Mirror.
To which Stacey replied simply: "Jellyfish". But Joe was unconvinced, asserting: "Nope. Jellyfish are definitely aliens. Jellyfish are aliens."
Stacey couldn't contain her laughter, asking: "What? " Joe elaborated: "They come in on, like, some space rock or something. Jellyfish are not... They're not from our planet."
Despite Stacey's insistence that "They are", Joe stood firm on his extraterrestrial theory. Amidst their amusing exchange, viewers were busy speculating on social media about "what happened" to Joe's looks, particularly commenting on his smile seeming altered.
Fans were quick to spot something different about Joe during his appearance on #celebritygogglebox, with speculation running rampant across X (formerly known as Twitter). "What's going on with #joeswash gnashers. Got some new Turkey specials? #celebritygogglebox", one eagle-eyed viewer quipped.
Another chimed in: "#celebritygogglebox Has Joe got new teeth? " And a third mused: "What's happened to Joe Swash' teeth? ! He had lovely teeth # gogglebox."
Stacey and Joe haven't been shy about discussing the tweaks and turns of their lives, including Joe's ventures into cosmetic dentistry. Stacey spilled the tea to her Instagram followers, sharing, "He [Joe] went out and got his teeth done and came back and expected me to be normal about it."
She added incredulously, "He didn't even discuss it with his wife. Just went out and did it. Now, I'm not in control of Joe's body, he can do what he likes with his body, but how dare he do something without telling me."
Next to her, Joe defended his pearly whites: "I think they look quite nice personally."
But Stacey was having none of it, retorting, "I thought they looked amazing already."
The episode wasn't just about teeth though, as the pair delved into a heart-to-heart with Stacey recalling their earlier romantic times. Amidst laughter, she reminisced, "We used to sleep in bed together, remember that? " Joe semi-jokingly lamented the current sleeping arrangements, saying, "So I'll go in Rex's bed with the baby then shall I? " while Stacey chuckled, adding, "That's what happens isn't it, babe?"
