Celebrity Gogglebox confirms Slow Horses stars for new season
Celebrity Gogglebox has confirmed more pairings for its return this week, with two Slow Horses favourites among those giving their TV opinions.
The Channel 4 show will air a special edition to raise funds for Stand Up To Cancer on Friday (October 25), with comedians Josh Widdicombe and Stephen Merchant previously announced.
It has now been confirmed that Slow Horses' Kristin Scott Thomas and Saskia Reeves – aka Diana Taverner and Catherine Standish – will be taking part too.
Other newly-confirmed pairings include Call the Midwife's Miriam Margolyes and Birds of a Feather's Lesley Joseph, and comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner.
Keep your eyes peeled for more announcements this week.
Speaking previously about doing the show, Merchant said in a statement: "I don't usually allow talking when the TV is on, because I know how much hard work goes into making shows, so I try to give them my full attention.
"But I'm happy to break my own rule for Stand Up to Cancer and join the Gogglebox special this year with my pal Josh Widdicombe. The charity does fantastic work, raising money for life-saving research, and it's a privilege to be involved."
Widdicombe added: "Stand Up to Cancer is an incredible cause so I am honoured to be involved. I love Stephen and particularly like working with him when we are sitting down so I don't look like a hobbit next to him."
In other Gogglebox news, regular show star Izzi Warner recently revealed on air that she had split from her long-term partner Grant.
Celebrity Gogglebox for Stand Up To Cancer will be available to watch and stream on Channel 4 on Friday (October 25) at 9pm.
