Celebrity Gogglebox has welcomed two brand new stars for their Stand Up To Cancer special, Charlotte Church and Luke Evans.

The singer and Dream Build presenter is teaming up with the Beauty and the Beast star to cosy up on the couch and watch some great shows for charity.

The Welsh icons are good friends in real life and have even joined forces for a duet on Evan's new album, A Song For You.

Now, the Nine Perfect Strangers and DJ have spoken out about their next collaboration and the importance of supporting such a vital cause.

Church told the Metro: "Cancer affects so many – with one in two of us getting a diagnosis in our lifetime. So we’re delighted we can play a small part in supporting the incredible work being done by Stand Up To Cancer."

Evans said it meant a lot to both of the celebrities to get involved in the special to raise money for the cancer charity.

"Cancer is a disease that doesn’t discriminate and robs people from living full and happy lives with their loved ones," Evans said.

"Sadly, cancer has affected everyone’s lives in some way. So, it means a lot that Charlotte and I can be involved in this year’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign."

Evans and Church are the latest additions to join the Googlebox special line-up, after it was announced that iconic chef Gordon Ramsey and his daughter, Strictly Come Dancing star Tilly, will also make an appearance on the show.

The father daughter duo said: "We’re always happy to support the superb work that Stand Up to Cancer do, and despite our TV tastes being polar opposite, we had a lot of fun filming this very special episode of Gogglebox."

The special has famously invited notable stars such as Naomi Campbell and the cast of Line of Duty, as well as British artists such as Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran.

Last year's special raised more than £31million, marking the highest-ever total raised since the programme’s launch.

Gogglebox airs on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
