Celebrity Big Brother legend engaged to partner in stunning Dubai proposal
Celebrity Big Brother legend James Hill has gotten engaged to his partner, Naomi Hibbert, in a stunning Dubai proposal, which was witnessed by their two young children.
James, who starred on The Apprentice in 2014, followed by Celebrity Big Brother in 2015, set the scene for his big moment by organising a romantic evening dinner on the beach in front of the iconic sail-shaped Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.
He and Naomi were joined by their children, Nola and Albie, who could be seen in the background as James got on one knee and presented a delighted Naomi with a diamond ring. He posted the moment to his Instagram page, as he gushed in the caption: "Yep I proposed!
"I love you and my children more than this beautiful moment but I hope this shows you my commitment to you as you have given me more than I could of ever dreamed of. Love you babe."
His followers rushed to offer their congratulations, including legendary music artist Fatman Scoop, who wrote: "Okkkkk!," to which James replied: "@fatmanscoop yes fatman! Love you bro!"
Lizzie Cundy also commented: "Wow," with a number of heart-eye emojis, whilst Love Island All Stars' Joshua Ritchie added: "Congrats brother." Someone else said: "Ahhhh. I’m so pleased for you bro. Massive congratulations to you both buddy."
James found fame on The Apprentice, but he was fired in week eight of the competition. His stint on Celebrity Big Brother the following year was much more successful as he went on to win the series.
These days, he's traded reality TV for family life with Naomi, who he met in 2016 in a nightclub in Nottingham. They welcomed their first child, daughter Nola, on Father's Day in 2021, with son Albie coming into the world in September last year.
Announcing Albie's birth on social media, James wrote: "Wow 2 weeks with 2 kids! Number 2 is mostly definitely a game changer!
"However I have loved every minute and man am I happy and proud to have a little girl and now a little boy that every man dreams of!"
The first picture James shared showed him looking weary snuggled up in bed next to his young daughter and newborn son. The second showed girlfriend Naomi looking tired but happy in the moments after she gave birth, with baby Albie on her chest.
James added: “Well done to my baby machine @naomimargot_ I love you and when we making another?” This was followed by a cry-laughing emoji.
He concluded: “Welcome to the world little man. Albie James Hill 30/8/23 18:53 7lb 12.”
