Dancing On Ice welcomed 11 celebrities and their pro skater partners to the rink for the 2023 series.

The ITV skating show is back with its usual mix of soap, reality and pop stars, but who is skating with who and which order did they leave the ice in?

It's the smallest cast in years, with just 11 couples taking part - but as recent years have shown, there may well be some extra stars waiting in the wings to stand in for anyone who gets injured.

Skating partner: Klabera Komini

The Wanted star is the final celebrity announced for the 2023 cast, revealing he would be taking part on Good Morning Britain.

He said: “I’m very excited. I’m trying to be positive and not be in a fearful mindset! I’m looking forward to meeting all the cast. I want to learn how to skate and make my family proud of me and put on a show for everyone to see and hopefully not make a fool of myself!”

Michelle Heaton - Voted out week 3

Skating partner: Łukasz Różycki

The former Liberty X singer was a guest on Lorraine where she revealed that she would be taking part.

Heaton, who has now been sober for nearly 18 months, said that she had been reluctant to take part in previous years while battling the effects of her alcoholism.

She said: "I've always wanted to do it and I've always had my name in the mix, but I always knew that I wouldn't be able to complete anything while my body was the way it was...I'm so glad I've got it now when I'm stronger."

Talking about her children finding out that she would be in Dancing On Ice, she said: "Faith came up to me and said, 'I'm so proud of you Mummy'. It's just so beautiful that she's proud of me from what I was to what I am now."

Carley Stenson - Voted out week 7

Skating partner: Mark Hanretty

The former Hollyoaks star and West End actor has added her name to the cast.

Stenson said: "I'm so excited that I get to learn how to dance...on ice! I'm terrified but can’t wait - I just want to make the most of this whole experience."

Darren Harriott - Voted out week 6

Skating partner: Tippy Packard

Comedian Darren Harriott confirmed he was joining the cast to Trisha Goddard on her TalkTV show.

He said: “I’ve got giant feet, I don't skate and I can't dance! My family has already made bets - they’re making bets that I’ll fall on the first episode!”

Joey Essex

Skating partner: Vanessa Bauer

The Towie star was announced for the cast on This Morning, where he admitted he had been keen to take part for years and was taking training seriously.

Asked about the famous reality show "curse" that sees contestants become romantically involved with their partners, he said: "I want to be cursed. Is there a curse on this one? I'm super single. I'm there to fall in love with the ice, but if the ice wants to fall in love with me..."

The Vivienne

RuPaul's Drag Race winner The Vivienne has joined the cast of the 2023 series as the show's first ever drag artist contestant, saying: “I'm beyond excited to announce that I will be competing in Dancing On Ice in 2023! This is honestly a dream come true and I can't wait to start training on the ice.

"To be the first drag artist to take part in one of the big UK reality competition shows is truly an honour. I think it's a big step forward for queer representation on TV.”

Mollie Gallagher

Skating partner: Sylvain Longchambon

Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher will follow many of her cobbles co-stars onto the ice, with the soap having provided many a skating star in the past.

Gallagher, who plays Nina Lucas, was revealed on Lorraine and said: "I’m really excited. I’ve not really felt nervous yet, strangely. But being here today, I am now feeling it a little bit!”

Talking about getting advice from her Coronation Street co-stars, she added: “I’ll be getting all the tips I can because I’m going to need it!”

Nile Wilson

Skating partner: Olivia Smart

Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson announced he had joined the cast on YouTube.

Wilson is obviously used to performing some acrobatic moves and hinted that he would be going for it on the ice, saying: “I'm going to be on ITV's Dancing on Ice! This is a really cool thing. I've certainly not done much ice skating but I am so excited for the opportunity. I’m so excited to get into that routine and to feel like an athlete again.

“My biggest goal on the show is to do something that no-one has ever done before!”

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu - Voted out week 4

Skating partner: Brendyn Hatfield

The Love Island winner is following in the footsteps of many an Islander before her by joining the Dancing On Ice cast.

She appeared in a pre-recorded video for Good Morning Britain, where she said: "I’m so excited for the team, I can’t wait to get on the ice and skate. Stay tuned and see you on the ice!"

Cülcüloğlu recently made a travel show with her Love Island partner Davide Sanclimenti, where they travelled to Turkey and Italy to show off their hometowns in Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings.

John Fashanu - Voted out week 2

Skating partner: Alexandra Schauman

John Fashanu was named as the second celebrity joining the cast of Dancing On Ice 2023.

The former footballer, 60, turned TV presenter after his sporting days were over, hosting Gladiators, Deal Or No Deal Nigeria, and coming second in the second series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!.

He said: "I'm so excited to be a part of Dancing On Ice! I don't think it'll come as a surprise to people that I'm very competitive - I am definitely in it to win it. And this may be one of the scariest things I've ever signed up for but I couldn't be more ready for the challenge!"

Patsy Palmer - Voted out week 5

Skating partner: Matt Evers

Ex-EastEnders actor Patsy Palmer was the first person announced for the 2023 cast.

The DJ and wellness guru, who now lives in the US, was unveiled on This Morning via video link by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

As Schofield pointed out she'd turned down the show before, she said: "Yes because I’ve been absolutely terrified before, but my pact that I made to myself when I was 50 was that I’ve got to challenge myself for the next couple of years and get out of my comfort zone because I don’t want to get stuck in this thing of ‘argh, I’m 50, it’s such a weird age’."

Willoughby asked her about being a fan of Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, who judge the show and work with the contestants.

Talking about their Olympic gold-winning routine Bolero, Palmer replied: "I don’t even know what year it was when they did their big dance - was it like a tango or something like that they did?"

Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday on ITV1 from 6:30pm.
