Catherine Zeta-Jones is the latest in a string of celebrities to reveal their favourite ways to pass the time.

Though the actor is best known for her film roles, it turns out that when she’s home alone she actually has a long list of books that she likes to escape with, rather than a blockbuster.

Taking to Instagram the star, who is married to Michael Douglas, shared a list of 13 of her favourite books alongside the caption: “‘I have always imagined that paradise will be a kind of library.’ – Jorge Luis Borges. I put together a list of some of my favorite (sic) books to help occupy time ❤️ What’s another you would add?”

Some of her go-to reads included To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, both of which are celebrated the world over.

With a mix of classics and perhaps lesser-known titles, Catherine’s reading list is certainly a good starting point for anyone looking for new reads.

And her fans waded into the book suggestions swap with recommendations of their own.

On The Road - Jack Kerouac,” one follower commented below the A-lister’s Instagram post, while another added a few more contemporary reads: “An Education by Tara Westover and Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine.”

If you’re currently looking to refresh your bookshelves and add some new titles to your repertoire, then you can shop all the books Catherine mentioned below.

Thanks, CZJ.
