Cate Blanchett walks the Cannes Red Carpet with her son, Dashiell
Cate Blanchett was the picture glamour and beauty at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (20 May), as she walked the red carpet with her son.
In France for the 76th Cannes Film Festival, the Oscar-winning actress made several appearances over the weekend, including a lovely red carpet walk with her eldest son, Dashiell, for the Killer of the Flower Moon premiere.
Cate wore a custom Louis Vuitton black gown, which was detailed with champagne silk puff accents. A beautiful train trailed behind the actress, who opted for a luxurious, sparkling ear cuff and simple hair do. Dashiell looked dapper in a black tux, and let his lovely curly hair down.
The night before, Cate walked the red carpet for the premiere of her new film, The New Boy, which is set in the 1940s and follows an orphan as he arrives at a monastery run by Cate’s character, a renegade nun.
The New Boy is to be released next month, with Cate also having produced the film as well as starring in it.
For her film’s premiere, Cate wore another Louis Vuitton dress, this time choosing a caped gown with glistening embellishments made out of deadstock materials from Louis Vuitton ateliers.
Cate accessorised her gown with a striking black belt, and wore her hair in a tousled up-do, and towering black heels.
After being on her feet for hours, Cate swapped her red carpet gown out for a velvet Giorgio Armani jumpsuit and floor-length pink coat, and kicked off her shoes.
