Turning Venice Film Festival into her own runaway this year, Cate Blanchett is giving us all the fabulous fashion inspiration we need, including embracing the latest trends.

Spotted at the 81st Venice International Film festival yesterday (1 September) for the the premiere of Wolfs, starring Brad Pitt, Cate was captured in a timeless Hollywood favourite - the little black dress, but this time with an architectural twist.

The Australian actress' custom Louis Vuitton dress featured beautiful architectural detailing around the bust and a flattering asymmetric hem, showing off the star's figure perfectly.

Pairing her opulent look with matching pointed toe black stilettos and wearing her short blonde locks in her classic waved style, Cate simply looked the epitome of Hollywood glamour.

With architectural fashion becoming a very new thing to hit the red carpets, the trend is all about wearing garments that use sharp angles and sleek silhouettes, to represent the lines and shapes often found in modern architectural masterpieces too.

Another celebrity seen sporting the architectural trend at Venice Film Festival was Amy Ryan.

The American actress is best known for her roles in The Office, Gone Baby Gone and the Birdman, and is set to star in Brad Pitt and George Clooney's latest film Wolfs.

Looking pretty in pink, Amy opted for a stunning coral gown, which was complete with a peplum style pleated corset and an exotic architectural neckline.

Showing off the 56-year old's amazing figure, the star swept her short bronde locks into a beautiful side parted straight style and opted for a statement red lip to finish off her outfit.

The actress was also pictured with co-stars George Clooney, Austin Abrams, and Brad Pitt having a giggle on the red carpet.
