Cat Deeley is all set to continue her journey on This Morning after reportedly signing a whopping new deal. The 48 year old star has committed to at least another year with the ITV show, thanks to a contract said to be worth £600,000.

Her co-host Ben Shephard, 50, is also believed to have renewed his contract, ensuring the dynamic duo remains intact. An insider spilled to The Sun: "Cat was brought in alongside Ben to steady the ship and she’s done just that. Ratings have been tricky but the daily drama has finally ended. " They added, "Cat signed a year-long deal with Ben last year and she’s agreed to another 12 months."

The pair were brought in to host the show after the departure of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield and made their debut together on Monday, 11 March this year.

In other news, Cat opened up about her decision to move back to the UK from Los Angeles with her husband Patrick Kielty and their kids Milo, eight, and James, six.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, she expressed her concerns about safety and healthcare in the US: "I was an older mother, 39 when I had Milo. Because I didn’t know if I was going to have children, I don’t take them for granted. I want to be there for them. " She continued, "It doesn’t feel as safe as it used to be. There’s an edge, which wasn’t there before. The health system is failing miserably. After the pandemic there are lots of vulnerable people with severe mental health issues that have just fallen through the net."

Cat Deeley has opened up about the terrifying moment her husband Patrick Kielty and son Milo were caught in a shooting at Century City Mall in LA, which heightened her awareness of America's gun violence problem. She shared her shock, saying: "I found that [the mall shooting] really scary. Then we’d go to look at schools and they say, ‘This is the safe room and this is the drill if we have a live shooter on the premises.’ It was very, very difficult."
