There's no red carpet like the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. Year after year, celebrities – and their stylists – bring their A-game to the iconic celebration of the movie industry by wearing the biggest, boldest and bravest outfits they can get their hands on. Proof's in this compilation of the best Cannes celebrity fashion of all time.
This year, as the acclaimed gala celebrated its 76th year, the star-studded guest list included everyone from longstanding silver screen legends Dame Helen Mirren, Viola Davis, Harrison Ford and Jane Fonda to the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Dua Lipa and Kate Beckinsale.
For the highly anticipated premiere of the Wes Anderson-directed Asteroid City, 2023 jury member Brie Larson looked to Chanel couture for her 1920s flapper-style gown, whilst the two of the film's stars, Scarlett Johansson and Maya Hawke, chose Italian fashion house Prada for their looks.
On the closing red carpet, Eva Longoria wore a striking red Tony Ward gown while Geri Horner wore a stunning white Erdem ballgown.
But it's not just actors who graced the red carpet in their finest attire. Models have long used the Cannes film festival red carpet as their own personal catwalk. Take Swedish model Elsa Hosk for example, who chose one of the more unexpected looks from Viktor & Rolf's quirky 2023 couture show.
